How’s the week going so far?
I’ve been trying to find time to write along with work, but it gets a little difficult. So, I mostly spend my weekends writing and masking. You know masking, right? It’s either a sheet mask with my jade roller, or a full-fledged facial massage followed by a mask. On days when I’m super lazy, its just a mask followed by moisturizer. Because of this, I’m a mask-hoarder. The last mask I picked up was the Forest Essentials Madhulika Nourishing Honey Lep, this is my first Forest Essentials face pack.
Let’s talk about this mask!
A highly nourishing organic Honey Lep or Masque, made from ancient Ayurvedic texts. Fermented raw cane sugar is blended with fresh orange juice, organic honey, herbs and oils for an incredible food for the skin.
Use after cleansing. Preferably open pores with steaming or a hot towel for five minutes. Smoothen on face and neck avoiding the eye area and leave for 15 minutes till semi dry. Rinse off with warm, then cold water. Moisturize as usual.
₹ 1675 for 50g
Where to buy:
The product comes in a beige cardboard box with the top as orange in color along with a pot of honey. Once you open the lid, you can see the jar of the face mask. The lid is golden with “Forest Essentials” printed along the side of the lid, same as their trademark packaging. The inside of the jar is white with transparent out cover. The packaging is so classy, it instantly lights up any space.
The mask is orange in color and is of jelly-like consistency. It smells of orange and the smell is to die for. The product is a little more sticky than I’d like, so keep your hair tied away while using this mask.
Application & Usage:
A small amount of the pack is enough to cover the entire face. Spread a thin layer of the mask and let it dry. I find it difficult to wash off the pack as its really sticky, but once the pack is completely dry, it’s easily peeled off. I discovered this little trick in my 4th- 5th usage when I had let the pack dry out and it was peeling off along my neck creases. Then I discovered that you can actually peel the entire pack off your face.
Once you peel the mask off your face, a quick rinse and wipe is enough to get the residue off. The pack leaves your skin feeling soft and supple. You can notice instant honey glow on your face once the pack is cleared off. It doesn’t dry out your skin after its usage. It does pull on your skin once it’s dry, just like most of the packs do.
Personally, I feel the pack is good if you’re looking for something which nourishes your skin and adds a little glow as well. Unfortunately, I’m a fan of exfoliating packs so I don’t prefer the basic packs. Although, the peel-off part is interesting. This is a good Forest Essentials products for dry skin.
- Super classy packaging
- Adds instant glow and shine to the face
- Doesn’t dry out the skin
- Smells superb
- Peeling off the pack is fun
- A lot more sticky than I’d like
- Difficult to take off
I wouldn’t buy it again but I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quick fix. I’m definitely dying to try their exfoliators.
Anyway, Bye everyone, gotta go and apply a mask! 😀
